Welcome! Plainsong was set up in 2007 to assist singers and trainers with high quality vocal tuition and singing advice.

We provide high quality entertainment for clients wanting vocal performances, showcases and entertainment for their special event.

We are dedicated to providing the best possible services in singing teaching, singing consultation and vocal performance to clients in and around Brisbane.

Plainsong is a proud member of ANATS, the Australian National Association of Teachers of Singing, ISME: the International Society for Music Educators, ASME: the Australian Society of Music Education, AARE: the Australian Association of Research in Education, and ASPAH, the Australian Society for Performing Arts Health. Our staff comply with all Queensland Government regulations and possess current Blue Card compliance.

About Jessica

Dr Jessica O'Bryan PhD is an educator, researcher, singer and author. Her next book on Musical Theatre Education and Training will be published in 2020 through Routledge. Her last book was Teaching Singing in the 21st Century (2014, Springer). She lives in Brisbane in a semi-renovated 20s Queenslander home with her husband, Dougal the Groodle, and all the single ladies (Poppy the Groodle, Lucy the Cat, and the chooks).
